Moving farther south we come to Atlanta, which is one of Georgia's largest and most famous cities. One of the most interesting places to visit is the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. This is where Dr. King was born and lived the first 12 years of his life. Atlanta is also the site of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Dr. King’s grandfather and father were pastors there. Later, Dr. King returned to preach at this church himself. There are many museums and historical sites in Atlanta, including the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library. His Nobel Peace Prize is just one of the items on display.
