South Atlantic Journal

What places would you like to visit?

Goal:

Goal:

Now is your opportunity to take some time on your own to explore the South Atlantic region. You might want to spend more time at the places we mentioned, or do some investigating on your own. Be sure to take notes on the places that interest you the most.

Click the Activity button to download an organizer that will assist you as you take notes for this journal.

Once you have your notes organized, select ONE of the following activities to complete in your journal:

  1. Choose one place that particularly interests you and describe it. You can be as creative in your writing as you like, such as writing a short imaginary letter to someone describing your visit to this place or imagining that you are an animal living in one of the parks and describing what your life is like.
  2. Write half a page or more of notes on what interested you about the South Atlantic region. What places would you like to visit in person? You can list places we visited in this lesson, or places we were not able to include on our tour.

You will submit your journal at the end of each module. Make sure you keep the journal up-to-date and ready to turn in when prompted. Your journal will be graded using the rubric below.
