South of Georgia is Florida, home of the Everglades. There is a wide variety of habitats in the Everglades, such as mangrove and cypress swamps, sawgrass prairies and pinelands, as well as marine environments. Along with alligators and crocodiles, the park is known for its rich variety of bird life.
The city of Miami is also another popular tourist destination. Miami Beach is a beautiful, long stretch of white sand with clear, warm water. Miami also has a great zoo. It is considered to be one of the best in the world. Miami is also home to a very beautiful and moving Holocaust Memorial dedicated to the millions of people who died at the hands of Hitler’s Nazis in World War II.
If you missed Disneyland when you were out in California, don’t worry. Florida has Walt Disney World. Florida also has many other attractions, among them the EPCOT Center, NASA Kennedy Space Center, Busch Gardens, and the beautiful beaches and coral reefs of Key West.
