Goal:

Action: Slowly move body weight from one foot to another.

Technique:

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  • Keeping both feet on the ground, move body weight over one foot.
  • Shift and move your body weight over to the other foot.
  • Continue shifting weight back and forth.

Skill Activities:

  • Sway your body front to back.
  • Sway your body from side to side.
  • Hold hands in the air and sway arms from side to side.
  • Hold hands out to the side and sway with body.
  • Hold hands out and slowly move around like limbs of a tree.
  • Sway to the rhythm of a song.
