Basketball Dribble Skills

Technique:
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Hold the ball at your waist.
- Drop the ball to the floor.
- Use your fingertips to push the ball.
- Do not use the palm of your hands to slap the ball.
- The ball should not bounce higher than your waist.
- Practice with your right hand and then your left hand.

Skill Activities:
- Dribble the ball back and forth between your right and left hands.
- Count how many times you can dribble the ball.
- Start by walking while dribbling. Move to a jog and then to a run.
- Race a friend while dribbling.
- Dribble with a defender trying to take it from you.
- Dribble in a zigzag pattern.
