Compare your lists of words to the lists below.  The first list is the one you viewed in the 45 second video.  The second is the listof words you rated.  How many in each list did you recall?  Did you notice that the words you spent more time thinking about (more complex encoding) were easier to remember?

In the Total Words Remembered spaces at the bottom of the form, write the total number of correct answers.

It is likely that you recalled more words from the second set than from the first.   By creating mental associations with each word and then rating your emotional response to the word, you engaged in more complex encoding than when you simply read and reviewed the list.  The more complex process probably delivered a more accurate recall.
