Mid-Atlantic RegionLocated in the middle of the East Coast (part of the Northeast and Southeast Regions), are the states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. This diverse region has had a large influence on U.S. history, culture, and industry. New England RegionLocated in the northeast corner of the U.S., New England includes the states of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. These states were part of the original 13 colonies. It is the smallest region of the United States. Southwest RegionLocated in the southwestern part of the U.S., the Southwest Region includes the states of Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. This region borders Mexico to the south. Because of this, the culture is very diverse. |
