Interactive Table
What is an interactive table? How can I use one?
Goal:
Goal:
In an interactive table, the content in some columns is hidden until the student clicks the text or image in the first column (or top row). An interactive table invites students to consider the information in the first column or row before clicking to see a corresponding answer or explanation appear in the other column(s) or row(s).
The text that appears above an interactive table should tell students what they should do and what they’re supposed to learn from the activity. If there are no column headings in the table, these directions should refer to the items in the first column as a list (list of questions, list of terms, list of examples, etc.) since this is how the table will appear to students. Directions should also remind students to think about the visible question, term, or image on their own before clicking to see the answer or explanation.

Examples
Interactive tables can be used in all subject areas to present categories of content in a less text-heavy, more interactive way. Because they can easily allow you to present a series of questions, terms, or examples, interactive tables are ideal for teaching members or attributes of a class or category.
