This is Jerry and Jenny. They are on a bird watching trip in Africa! Do you see that tree house up in the tree? Jerry and Jenny are going to spend the morning in the tree house recording the birds they see. Let’s go with them!

Jerry and Jenny will record the number of birds they see as they fly past the window. Here are some now! There are 10 birds, and 10 more.

We can add these two groups of birds together using the addition sentence 10+10. How many birds have Jerry and Jenny seen?
