Have you marked all of this lesson's turning points on your thematic map?

As you prepare to scan your thematic map for submission, take some time to double-check that you have all the required turning points marked and labeled:

  • Mesopotamia--Where did the first civilization begin, and what did it contribute to the world?
  • Rome and the Silk Road--What did the expansion of the Roman Empire look like, and where did the Silk Road lead?
  • The Aztecs Meet Cortés--When and where did Montezuma and Cortés first meet? What did Montezuma's kingdom look like before and after Spanish conquest?
  • D-Day--Where did the invasion of Normandy take place, and where did it come from? What was the path of the Allies on their way to Berlin?
  • Modern Cities and Countries--What are the places where these turning points occurred called today?
  • The Atomic Bomb--When and where were atomic weapons created? Where were they used? How did this affect the outcome of the Cold War?

Once your thematic map is colored, labeled, and updated, put your name on it, scan it, and submit it to your teacher for a grade.
