In this lesson, you have learned many ways to prevent injuries, whether you are playing a sport or doing yard work. You’ve seen how important it is to warm up and stretch, to use appropriate protective gear, to stay hydrated, and to cool down.
Not every injury can be prevented. But most can be made less severe by following the guidelines presented in this lesson.
For this week’s activity, you will brainstorm possible injuries related to a variety of physical activities. You will note the causes of these injuries and ways to prevent them. Then, you will create a safety poster for a sport or physical activity of your choice.
