You have learned that daily physical activity is good for both your mental and your physical health. However, many people in the United States are not active enough each day. Most people ride in cars, buses, and trains to get to and from work and school. When we get there, we may sit most or all of the day. And when we get home, we may spend even more hours in front of the TV or computer.
And yet many people feel tired all the time. Why is that? One reason is that being physically active actually gives you more energy than being sedentary does.
For this week’s activity, you will make a log of the physical activity you engage in for two days. Then, you will determine if you are getting enough and think about changes you might be able to make.
