reading rhinoaudio buttonWe will be reading fables this week. Have you ever read a fable before? If the story of the tortoise and the hare sounds familiar to you, then you have read a fable.

Fables are short stories and the characters are usually animals. Fables only involve one event, and the characters are usually in some type of conflict. The theme is usually stated at the end of the story as a lesson, or a moral.

Tomorrow, we will read a fable called "The Country Mouse and the City Mouse." We can see from the title that our characters will be mice. Where are our two mice from? Do you think this might cause some problems in our fable? We'll find out tomorrow!
