You can beat out a rhythm with a musical instrument such as bells, tambourine, sticks, drum, etc. You can even move around and dance: stamp your feet, jump, march, swing your arms!

Look at the rhythm of the 3s table in the following way:

Clap softly for 1, 2, and loudly for 3
Clap softly for 4, 5, and loudly for 6
Clap softly for 7, 8, and loudly for 9
Clap softly for 10, 11, and loudly for 12
Clap softly for 13, 14, and loudly for 15
Clap softly for 16, 17, and loudly for 18
Clap softly for 19, 20, and loudly for 21
Clap softly for 22, 23, and loudly for 24
Clap softly for 25, 26, and loudly for 27
Clap softly for 28, 29, and loudly for 30
Clap softly for 31, 32, and loudly for 33
Clap softly for 34, 35, and loudly for 36

You can sing it as well! Practice this rhythm daily until you can say 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36.

You'll be counting by 3s in no time!
