Nice is a city in the south (dans le Sud) of France. It’s on the French riviera, on the Mediterranean coast. It’s a sunny and warm region of France with nice beaches that lots of people visit on vacation.
Olivier, a French student, is on vacation with his family. He is introducing himself to a girl (une fille) he has met at a bus stop by the beach. He wants to know where she is from.
See if you can figure out where she is from by reading and listening to the conversation. Then, answer the comprehension questions afterwards.
Olivier: Salut! Je m’appelle Olivier.
Francesca: Salut.
Olivier: Et toi, Comment t’appelles-tu?
Francesca: Je m’appelle Francesca.
