You have added the verb venir to your vocabulary, and you’ve learned how to say where people come from. In this journal entry, you will introduce two more of your friends or cousins. If you choose, you may use the same friends you introduced in the last journal. If you want to be creative, pick a celebrity, a famous actor, or an athlete and make up where they are from.
Remember, the phrase for a friend is un ami for a male and une amie for a female. Do you remember how to say I have in French?
J’ai
So, you can say J’ai une amie. Elle s’appelle… or J’ai un ami. Il s’appelle…
Then you will add where they come from. You could say the country their family comes from, the state, the city, or the neighborhood
they are from for example:
J’ai un ami. Il s’appelle Justin. Il vient du Nevada.
J’ai une amie. Elle s’appelle Danielle. Elle vient de Phoenix.
J’ai un cousin. Il s’appelle Juan. Il vient du Mexique.
J’ai un ami. Il s’appelle Tom
Brady. Il vient de Tampa Bay!
