What physical features are common in the U.S.?

You don't have to go very far to see some amazing physical features on Earth. The United States is covered with them.

Physical features are natural objects found on the Earth's surface. The United States has many different physical features, including mountains, hills, valleys, rivers, lakes, and plains. The United States is filled with spectacular physical features.

Physical Feature	Description
	Rocky Mountains: This mountain range stretches from Canada to New Mexico.
	Appalachian Mountains: This mountain range is in the eastern part of the United States.
	Great Plains: This is a large area of flat land located in the middle of the U.S.
	Great Lakes: Five lakes make up the Great Lakes, and they are located in the Northern Midwest Region of the U.S.
	Coastal Regions: The coast is where the ocean meets the land. The Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico border different states in the U.S. All of these areas are coastal regions.
