Soccer Dribble with a Defender

Click through the slides below to learn how to dribble a soccer ball with a defender.

Action: Dribble a soccer ball while keeping it away from a defender trying to steal the ball.

Technique:

While dribbling a soccer ball, defenders on the other team will try to take the ball from you.
Keep your dribble close to you. The further the ball is from you, the easier it is to take away.

Try to dribble past the defender.
Dribble the ball in a zigzag pattern and keep it from the defender.
