How did the Allies work together to defeat the Axis powers during World War II?

After December 7, 1941 the main Allies fighting against the Axis Powers were the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union. In an effort to coordinate their efforts against the Axis, the Allies held several conferences during World War II. Each Ally had a different set of expectations during these conferences, but ultimately the agreements that were reached enabled the Allies to defeat the Axis Powers.
