When the video started, you could tell that the landmark was something in New York State.   As it continued to zoom in, it became clear that you were looking at the Empire State Building.  At the beginning of the video, it would have been impossible for you to give detailed directions to the Empire State Building.   By the end, you could give very specific directions.

When you identify long-term goals and priorities, you start with a distant view of your target.  You know where you want to finish, but you have no clear directions to get there.  As you define the steps to your goal, you are able to identify tasks for the week ahead and order them based on your priorities.  Your close-up view allows you to create a weekly schedule.  Each day becomes a plan for moving through a series of tasks.

Like the detailed view of the Empire State Building, your schedule is a detailed view of your responsibilities, obligations, preferences, and priorities.  It includes the series of things or events that must be done or occur during your day, week, or month.
