In the end, you are responsible for your learning.  Fortunately, being responsible does not mean going it alone.  When you ranked who was responsible for your learning, you thought about many people whose support can help you learn. Some of those people can help you understand the material and concepts you must learn for a class. Others might help motivate you to do your best. Sometimes these people may track your progress, guiding you and holding you accountable to meet your goals. As you build a strong team of support, you build a solid structure for achievement.  You learn new ways of doing things

Knowing when and how to ask for help from the people who support your learning, your support team, is an important skill. This is a skill top students understand and use. When asking for help, remember that you are looking for those who can give you something you do not already have.  You want their insights, observations, and knowledge to give you perspective.  You will want to value any constructive criticism as an opportunity to improve your learning before your teacher evaluates and grades that learning.

Using the 1.1 Support Team Roster, identify the people who you look to most often as your support team.  Your team may change over time, but starting with a current list will help you to identify the best resources for certain needs and any gaps in your network.   Click here to complete your 1.1 Support Team RosterClick here to review your rubric for this activity.
