1. Let the story rest overnight. In the morning, retell the story. Review the meaning of natural, human, and capital resources.Identify examples of each from the story.
2. The important focus of this story is to reflect the interdependence of each of these resources.
• Mala recognized that everything began first with the gifts of nature (natural resources).
• She described her family as hard workers who helped transform the treasures of the earth (human resources).
• Mala also marveled at the tools the people had designed that helped with their labor (capital resources).
By using all of these things together, Carthage had grown quickly and flourished into a city of wonders! Do you see a place in your community where this is true?
