You are going to be playing “Sight Word Hot Lava.” Follow the directions below to play this game.
1) Spread out five pillows in a room that has a bit of space. Do not spread the pillows out too far. You want to be able to jump from one to the other.
2) Write this week’s sight words on index cards--one sight word for each index card.
3) Place each sight word index card on a pillow.
4) Time to jump! The floor is hot, so you need to jump from one pillow to the other.
5) When you land on an island, you need to read the sight word on that island.
6) Have fun jumping, and stay out of the hot lava!
Here are your sight words again:
- pull
- why
- cold
- long
- far
