Recycled Art

Try the activity below to change your point of view about trash.

Activity

1. With an adult's help, dig through your trash or recycling bins to find interesting materials.
2. Think about how you can transform what you find into something beautiful or useful. Perhaps you can create a fish sculpture out of aluminum cans. Or you might make a birdhouse out of an empty milk jug. You are limited only by your imagination! (Click the Rubric button to look at more guidelines.)
3. If you need help, do an Internet search on "recycled art objects." Use what you see to inspire a unique idea of your own.
4. After you've created your work of art, submit a photo of it to your teacher.
