Aloha, and welcome to Hawaii! You didn't need your passport to travel here since Hawaii is the 50th state. There is a lot to see in Hawaii. You can focus on the shapes you'll see as you learn about their sides and corners.

Start with the Hawaii state flag. Each state has its own flag. Do you know what your state flag looks like? Here is Hawaii's flag: 
The flag is in the shape of a rectangle. There are 4 sides on a rectangle. Look at the corners--a corner is where two sides meet. Count the number of corners in a rectangle. 
4 There are 4 sides and 4 corners in a rectangle. This is Mokoli'i. You can see it from the shore on the island of Oahu. What shape does it look like? It is in the form of a triangle. 
There are three sides on a triangle. That's how you know it is a triangle. Look at the corners where the sides meet. 
Count how many corners there are. Type it in the box.
