- Using the map on this page as a guide, draw a simple outline map of Ancient China. Label it "Ancient China-Xia Era."
- Find north, south, east, and west on the map. Then, on your Ancient China map, draw a compass rose to show those directions. A compass rose can help you read a map and know the directions of landmarks. Can you mark any landmarks from your map legend on your map?
- Compare the Ancient China map to present-day China on a world map. How are they different? How are they the same?
