3. Place a leaf in between two sheets of waxed paper. Cover the paper with a thin piece of scrap cloth. Then, ask an adult to help you iron over the cloth. Let the wax paper cool. Then, glue it into your lesson worksheet. Do this with one leaf from each tree.

4. Using a reference book of local tree species or another source, label the trees from the leaves you found.

5. In nature, trees are home to many different species of birds and other animals. Can you name a few? Did you see any of these animals on your nature walk? Trees provide shade and protection for animals, and we use trees to make paper and other products. Can you name some things that are made from trees?
