As soon as he sees what’s happening in the vacant lot on Gibb Street, Sam wants to be part of it. To Sam, though, the garden represents much more than another interesting hobby or a source of extra income.
Sam is seventy-eight years old and doesn’t get around as well as he used to, so he hires a teenager to help him start a garden. And you won’t believe what that kid wants to plant in his own section of the lot! Sam’s got it all under control, though, up to a certain point . . .
