Objectives
Students will:
- Explain the relationship between what is directly stated in a novel and what is implied.
- Draw conclusions about character development, based on the details in a text.
- Explain how a specific scene in a novel contributes to the development of the novel's plot and theme. [i.e., making and using avocado lotion, to no avail, and giving the piñata to the poorer children].
