Introduction: Comparing Time

What are your favorite activities? I have many favorites, too! Can you help me decide which of my favorite activities take more or less time than the others?

Which will take more time: eating a bowl of macaroni and cheese and an apple, or drinking half a glass of milk? Exactly! Eating all that food will take more time than drinking some milk.

Here's another one. Which takes more time: playing a card game, or playing on all of the equipment on the playground? Right! It takes more time to play on the playground than to play a card game. Let's look at one more set of my favorites.

I like drawing pictures of cats and making cats out of clay. Which activity takes more time? Correct! It takes more time to form a cat out of clay than to draw a picture of one.
