There is one other way that quadrilaterals can be described. Quadrilaterals are regular, or they are considered irregular--not regular in either form or shape.
Regular quadrilaterals have the following characteristics:
- All four sides are equal.
- All four angles are equal.
All other quadrilaterals are considered irregular. Read and answer the question below.

The square is the only quadrilateral that has four equal sides and four equal angles, which means it is considered regular. All the other quadrilaterals are considered irregular.
