Do you know what a playing card, a baseball diamond, and a picture frame all have in common? They are all quadrilaterals! The word itself may sound complicated, but its meaning is not.

A quadrilateral is any four-sided shape that has straight edges or sides and is two-dimensional. Look at the images above; they are all quadrilaterals!

Take a look around you, and see if you can identify other objects that fit the description of a quadrilateral. Write down everything you can identify.
