All Around the World

Planet Earth is gigantic, with tall mountains, deep valleys, dry deserts, and vast oceans. When we look around outside, it's easy to forget how big our planet really is and all of the different climates and terrains it has. That's why we use globes to give us a wider perspective.

A globe is a small model of planet Earth, and just like Earth, it's shaped like a sphere. Looking at a globe, you can see how big the oceans are, what areas are warm or cold, and how all the oceans, countries, and continents fit together.
