How can you gain knowledge?

Working can provide more than just tangible things, or things that can be touched. An example of a tangible thing we can get by working is money. Working can also give a person intangible rewards, or things that we cannot touch, as well.

Your brain is always learning! The knowledge you learn is intangible, but it is very important. It helps you become a better student and a better worker. Remember, the things you learn build your personal human capital.

Classes

As a student, your job is to learn. Each lesson in a class is different and teaches you different things. You may also take classes for fun! You can take classes to learn about photography, baking, or crafts in your community. Each thing you learn in class builds your knowledge.

Workers take classes at work to learn new skills. Taking classes can allow workers to earn more money. Some jobs, like being a teacher, may require special training or college education.

Experience

Experience is knowledge gained by doing, seeing, or feeling things. Experience happens when you live through an event. For example, you may gain experience when you visit a special place. As a worker, the longer you work, the more experience you gain. Workers can earn more money if they have experience.
