a diagram of a fruit tree with multiple parts labeled. Starting from the top of the tree, there are white flowers that are labeled and attached to branches that also have red apples labeled as fruit. There are green leaves that are labeled and attached to brown labeled branches. The branches combine into a larger trunk. At the base of the trunk and under the ground, roots extend outwards.
Evergreen trees have the same parts as other trees like roots, trunk, bark, branches, leaves, and seeds. All trees have leaves, but they may look different. Evergreen leaves are called needles. Evergreen seeds are called cones. Because evergreen trees produce cones, they are called conifers.
