It is Made from Trees

Rosie and Peter are thinking about all the important things that trees do. Many things can be made from trees. They decide to go on a scavenger hunt to see how many things they can find that are made from trees. They start in Peter’s kitchen.

They see many things made from trees. Can you name them too?
A bowl,
the cutting board,
the table,
a spoon,
and the cabinets are all made of wood from trees.

On to Peter’s living room next.
There’s the floor,
table,
books,
window frame, and
legs of the couch.

Outside, they see an ice cream cart. It’s time for a yummy treat. And guess what! Their ice cream sticks are made from wood from trees too.

Oh look, there’s Kiara. And she’s carrying a baseball bat. That’s made of wood too!

And what about that car passing by? Can you see anything made from trees?

That’s right! The canoe and the paddle on the car roof are made of wood from trees.

Here’s Mr. Johnson. He’s hanging laundry on the line with wooden clothespins.

And the apple trees in his yard make food.
