The Swiss focus on making products that require skilled craftsmanship. Swiss jewelers are known for their watches. The Swiss also build precise instruments like microscopes and measuring tools. They are also known as the world leaders in new medicine development.

Because of its neutrality, Switzerland is considered a safe place to keep money. The banking service industry is important in the country. The banks in Zürich and Geneva house money from people all over the world. In addition, tourism brings people to Switzerland. Many come to ski and hike in the Alps.

The Matterhorn is on the border between Switzerland and Italy. It is more than 14,500 feet high, making it one of the highest peaks in Europe. The mountain is almost a perfectly symmetrical pyramidal peak, which a sharply pointed mountain peak formed by glacial erosion.
