- A basic understanding of the electromagnetic spectrum.
- A knowledge of the basics of electricity.
- Learned about magnetism, magnets and poles.
Materials Needed
Students will need:
- microwave oven
- conventional oven (gas or electric)
- 500 ml of water
- 500 ml of dry sand
- 2 microwaveable containers (plastic or glass)
- 2 oven-safe containers, about the same size as the plastic or glass containers
- 2 thermometers
