The many machines people have invented and use regularly rely on the principles of energy, force, work and power, light and sound, electricity and magnetism, matter, and heat and pressure.

Microwaves

What are microwaves?

Microwaves are a type of wave that are sandwiched between radio waves and infrared radiation on the electromagnetic spectrum. The prefix "micro-" in "microwave" is not meant to suggest a wavelength. It indicates that microwaves are "small" compared to waves used in typical radio broadcasting because they have shorter wavelengths.
