Objectives

Students will:

  1. Review the effect of certain uses (or the overuse) of commas and identify examples that affect the style of a piece of writing.
  2. Produce final drafts of their most successful pieces of writing.
  3. Describe how their writing and their use of a writing process has changed or evolved.
  4. Connect statements of improvement in writing to specific written works.

Skills Needed

Students must be able to:

  1. Describe best practices for each stage in a writing process.
  2. Identify personal goals and accomplishments related to writing, including changes in style and approach.
  3. Evaluate the writing completed for the course, identifying best work.
