audio buttonToday, we will begin planning our descriptive paragraphs. We learned that descriptive paragraphs describe something in detail. Since we are talking about animals this week, we will be describing animals.

audio buttonLet's start by thinking about which animal we would like to describe. Since we need to include a lot of details about this animal, it should be an animal we know well. Maybe it is a pet. Maybe it's an animal you love seeing at the pet store or the zoo. It might even be an animal you only get to see in books, but that you know a lot about. Take a minute to think about which animal you would like to write about.
