What is your favorite shape? There are many to choose from. Triangles, squares, and rectangles are just a few examples. Today you are going to work with different shapes. You will make one big shape from two small ones.
Click the Activity button for a sheet with different shapes. Cut each shape out.
The first big shape you will make is composed of, or made of, a small trapezoid and a small triangle. Find 1 trapezoid and 1 triangle from the pile of cut-out shapes. Place the triangle on top of the trapezoid, like this: QuestionWhat big shape did you make from the two small ones? triangle Now you will make another shape using the cut-out shapes.
