Enrichment Activity
Retell a story instead of reading it and continue to practice writing.

Goal:
When telling stories, it is always best when they are told rather than read. This allows imagination to live more freely in the story itself. When memorizing a story, focus on remembering specific ideas, or themes rather than the exact words. You can choose your own words to describe the details. This is particularly true with creation stories, which reflect images of birth and renewal.
Remember, you may return at any time to activities that you enjoyed in the past, such as writing with your feet! Also, when you begin writing with cursive, you may want to revisit some of these activities anyway, just to practice.
