Predicting Consequences

Once you know what the options are, what should you do next?

When you consider the consequences of choosing each option, you can make better decisions. To consider the consequences, you must predict what will happen for each option.

Below are the options and their consequences:

Option 1: Go straight home	Consequences: Emmy will miss out on playing with her friend. Emmy won't get to play the game with Farrah.
Option 2: Ask her mom if she can go to her friend's house	Consequences: Emmy's mom might say no and make her come home instead. Her mom could say yes, and she could play at her friend's house.
Option 3: Go to Farrah's house without asking her mom	Consequences: Emmy would get to play at her friend's house. She would probably get in trouble for not going straight home. Her mom might get worried if she doesn't come home on time.
