Objectives
Students will:
- Evaluate claims that light can be described by a wave model or a particle model.
- Provide evidence showing that the wave model is more useful for explaining some situations involving light, while the particle model is more useful for describing other situations.
Skills Needed
Students must be able to:
- Use the parts of a wave to describe the frequency, wavelength, and speed of waves.
- Describe the characteristics of the electromagnetic spectrum.
- Describe the evidence for the dual nature of light.
