Oscar is learning how to fly his remote control helicopter, but he could use some help.
What happens when he moves the flight stick up and down?
Cool, the helicopter moves vertically!
What about when he moves the controller side to side?
Wow, the helicopter flies horizontally.
What about when he moves the stick at an angle, halfway between up and down and side to side?
Look at that! It moves diagonally!
Oscar wants his helicopter to fly up to the red letter “A.” Should he go vertically, horizontally, or diagonally?
That’s right, he needs to fly vertically to reach that point.
Now Oscar wants to fly to the green letter “B.” Which way should he go, vertically, diagonally, or horizontally?
That’s right, he needs to go diagonally to hit the green B.
If Oscar flies his helicopter horizontally, which way will he go? Will he go to the red A, the green B, or the blue C?
That’s right, the blue C. I think Oscar’s getting the hang of this thing! Or maybe not...

Question

When you look at the letter I, is it going vertically or horizontally?

It’s going vertically, because it is up and down.
