Exploring Seasons

Peter loves hats, and he is wearing his favorite fall hat today. He is going on a special nature walk with his mom.

They are finding materials to make an autumn corner in their house to celebrate the season.

As they walk through the park, they find lots of things:

brightly colored leaves,
an apple that has fallen off a tree,
a small pumpkin,
and a goose feather.

His mother tells him that geese fly south in the autumn and come back in the spring.

Peter wants to make a collection for each season. His mom helps him think about what happens in each season.

First, she helps him remember winter. Peter enjoys playing in the snow and wearing his warm, fuzzy hat. He remembers that pine trees stay green, and holly has red berries.
