Goal:

Technique:
- You can roll a ball with one hand or both hands.
- One-handed roll:
- Hold the ball in either hand.
- Swing your arm down and back behind the body.
- Step toward the target with the foot opposite of your rolling arm.
- Keep your arm close to the body as you swing it forward toward the target.
- Release and flip the ball to the target so it moves along the ground.
- Two-handed roll:
- Hold the ball with both hands.
- Bend at your waist and swing your arms between your legs.
- Swing your arms forward.
- Release and flip the ball to the target so it moves along the ground.
Skill Activities:
- See how far you can roll the ball.
- Roll a ball and try to hit a target. Back up and see how far away you can be and still hit the target.
- Roll the ball as fast as you can.
- Sit on the floor, and roll the ball in a circle around your body.
- See how many different ways and body parts you can use to roll the ball.
