Goal: What are multiplication facts?

Here are the flowers that bloomed! They have 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in their centers.

We will use these flowers to create multiplication facts. Multiplication facts are multiplication sentences that we can practice. We will practice them enough times that they will be easy to remember!

This is a multiplication fact flower. We will multiply the number in the center by the other numbers to create multiplication facts.

The number in the center is the first number. It is the number of groups. Each small petal has the second number. It is the number in each group. We will write the answer in the big petal. Then we will do it again with each small and big petal.

We can write the facts we create in a table like this:

Here is the flower with 1 in the center. Let’s start with the small petal that has a 1 in it. That means we are multiplying the 1 in the center by 1.
