Stratus clouds cover the whole sky like a blanket. It often rains when stratus clouds are nearby.
Cumulus clouds are the puffy white clouds that you often see on sunny days.
Cirrus clouds look like feathers and are made of ice crystals high in the sky.
Cumulonimbus clouds look a lot like cumulus clouds. The big difference is that cumulonimbus clouds are rain clouds that create thunderstorms.
